We are now ISO 14001 certified

We have been quality certified according to ISO 9001:2015 for a long time, and now we are expanding with ISO 14001:2015. This means that our management system meets international requirements and standards but above all it ensures continuous improvement regarding environmental impact and our sustainability efforts.

New! Products made from 100% recycled PE

At Bandi, our sustainability efforts are based on our relationship with nature and how we see the future. That's why we're extra proud when we now launch webbings and straps made from 100% recycled polyester. For these products, we use TOPGREEN® recycled polyester yarn. It is an fiber based on the material from recycled PET bottles and it's certified according to GRS (Global Recycle Standard) and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

Information regarding the situation in Ukraine

AB Bandindustri deeply regrets the tragical situation in Ukraine and suffers with those affected. We hope that the security situation will improve rapidly and that the war will come to an end.

AB Bandindustri does not have any established business ties or activities in Ukraine, Russia or Belarus and for that reason, we have not experienced any disturbances in our supply chain. Impacts of the previous crisis, which lead to global transport disturbances and a continuous increased demand of raw material, still remain. We are continually controlling our stock levels for yarn as well as finished goods and are focussed on analysing and minimising potential impacts. AB Bandindustri is carefully following the situation and we do our utmost to avoid that our service and readiness for delivery will be affected negatively.

Bandi updates the webshop

Bandi updates the platform and webshop for business customers. The website is now easier to navigate and the improved shop still features the wide standard range of textile tape products, VELCRO® Brand products as well as buckles and fasteners from Duraflex®. We aim to make it easier for our customers and see e-commerce development as an important step in improving the customer experience. The webshop is a B2B solution and requires login for shopping functionality. Resellers and new business customers are welcome to shop our standard range of products online. Latest update regarding the coronavirus situation

The coronavirus (COVID-19) is spreading globally and AB Bandindustri is working on a daily base with opportunities and risks that have developed under these circumstances. Our aim is to keep up our best possible service level for existing as well as new customers. We do have a daily dialogue with critical suppliers and forwarding agents to secure the supply chain. AB Bandindustri is continually controlling the stock levels for yarn as well as finished goods to detect differences.

Currently, we do not see any specific discrepancies or disturbances in our supply chain. Positive signals can be seen in Asia where disturbances have slowed down, e.g. China. We will continuously inform our customers, if the situation related to the pandemic development should intensify dramatically. Critical customers and key accounts will be contacted and updated separately.

We have experienced a very high demand for medical protective equipment and for our related products during the last weeks and quickly reacted and changed parts of our production to start up and to increase the production of elastic woven and braided tapes and cords. To gain even more production capacity for medical protective equipment textiles, we have converted some of our existing weaving looms.

AB Bandindustri is following the advices and recommendations given by the Swedish Foreign Office (UD/Utrikesdepartement) regarding travels for its employees. The company has given all its employees continuously necessary information where to find up-to-date information related to the coronavirus/spread of infection. Recommendations have been given to our employees to take all necessary precaution for private travels, but also to abstain from unnecessary private travels. To monitor the development of the virus spreading and to be able to take necessary decisions, AB Bandindustri established a management task group in the beginning of March.

Updated information regarding the coronavirus

The World Health Organization (WHO) has formally declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic and the risk of infection spreading in Sweden has been classified to be very high, according to the Public Health Agency (Folkhälsomyndigheten).

To assure and maintain the best possible service level, AB Bandindustri has started its investigations in what way the coronavirus situation could affect our operations and customers on a short-, middle-, and long term. We are following the situation carefully and have an ongoing dialogue with critical subcontractors as well as forwarding agents to secure the supply chain.

AB Bandindustri is continuously reviewing the stock level for raw materials as well as finished goods to be able to detect discrepancies. Potential scarcities have been identified and actions have been taken to avoid disturbances in the supply chain in case that the spread of the coronavirus will accelerate and intensify.

Currently, we do not see any specific discrepancies or disturbances in our supply chain. Positive signals can be seen in Asia where disturbances have slowed down, e.g. China. Our forwarders have informed us that they are expanding their transports from Asia to Europe, which is another positive signal. We will continuously inform our customers, if the situation should intensify dramatically for instance if the coronavirus will become pandemic. Critical customers and key accounts will be contacted and updated separately.

AB Bandindustri is following the advices and recommendations given by the Swedish Foreign Office (UD/ Utrikesdepartement) regarding business travels for its employees. To minimize the risk of infections and the spreading of the virus we have imposed a ban for all business travels and visits. This means that we will not visit customers nor suppliers, until the company finds reasons to re-evaluate the situation. We have informed all employees where to find up-to-date information regarding the coronavirus and related spread of infection. Recommendations have been given to our employees to take all necessary precaution for private travels, but we also advise to abstain from unnecessary private travels.

To monitor the development of the virus and to be able to take necessary fast decisions AB Bandindustri has established a dedicated management group for the situation.
